Lockridge Forest Clean and Beautiful Committee

Thanks for a great Neighborhood Clean Up Weekend on Saturday, March 10, 2007!

Now that all of the leaves have fallen and a lot of pine straw has covered our yards and curbs, the Clean and Beautiful Committee is asking that each neighbor take the time to clear their yard of leaves and pine straw and especially clear the curbs and any storm drains along the edge of their property.  The Counties do not come into the neighborhood to clean the streets, curbs, and storm drains – it is up to each of us to keep the neighborhood clean and the drainage working property.   With spring around the corner, the torrential rains will be here and we need the drains to be working properly.   Please be a considerate neighbor by cleaning up your yard of leaves and cleaning your curbs and storm drains.

The Lockridge Forest Civic Association has formed a committee to verify resident conformance with all applicable County Ordinances.  The purpose of the program is as follows:

  • Provide for a pleasant and attractive neighborhood:
  • Increase property values:
  • Maintain a safe living environment.

The Committee will meet as a group and function as follows:

  • Determine if a violation exists and whether it warrants action by the committee.  (Violations can be turned in by any resident.)
  • After determination that a violation exists, the resident will be notified by a “courtesy letter” from the committee.  Neighbors who report violations will not be named in the letter unless they request it.
  • If no action is taken by the resident in the timeframe allotted in the letter, the proper County authority will be notified.
  • Monitor the County’s enforcement effort until conformance has been achieved.
